Through our Defibrillators for Schools project we are supporting the donation of this life saving equipment to local primary schools in the Chesterfield area.

Mind Body Spirit’s goal is to keep children safe not only through our great Ju-Jitsu programmes but to help prevent the deaths of the 12 young people who die of sudden cardiac arrest each week in the UK.

Our 2 main aims are:

Raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest, particularly in the young

Place defibrillators in local primary schools

Our long term objective is provide every local primary school with a defibrillator that will be available for use in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.

We will be supporting our local Primary Schools by donating a defibrillator directly to the School

Our short term aim is to donate one AED to a one local primary school then we will continue fund raising to achieve our long term objective providing an AED to as many local primary schools as possible.

UPDATE:

The 2nd Defibrillator obtained by raising funds through a Fun Filled Race Night has now been presented to Cavendish Junior School

Thank you to the Headteacher, staff, students and parents for your warm welcome and listening to the presentation. Lots of interaction with the students who asked some great questions and also provided some great answers.
